The Scottish specific duties (introduced in 2012) contain two duties (out of twelve) directly relevant to pay equality.  Duty 7 requires public authorities with 150 or more employees to publish gender pay gap information in April 2013 and every second year after that.  Duty 8 requires public authorities with 150 or more employees to publish in 2013 and every four years after that, a statement on equal pay among its employees, with specific reference to men and women, disabled people and minority racial groups.  Duty 7 also requires public authorities to report in the statement on occupational segregation in relation to these protected characteristics.
